Welcome to Extended Family's first Blog!

As of October 14, 2009, Extended Family has a blog page!

I'll be posting to this page a variety of information related to those of us who are, or were, families of prisoners.

We would love to hear your stories, and more importantly, your solutions! How are you getting through the prison experience?

Stay tuned for more news to come as we continue in our Mission to offer help and inspire hope.

Thanks for the note! I hope you will continue to post with your questions and insights. Please let us know how your son is doing after he gets out. The coming home part is quite an adjustment. My husband came home on Jan. 12, 2009, after 6 years in prison, and we are doing the adjustment period now. It is glorious, challenging at times, and takes patience on both sides. Please post any questions you have here - or contact us at 256-927-7997 or extendedfamily@tds.net.

Blessings to you and your family!
