WHY               To train Extended Family for Kids program leaders for children’s groups at the 2013 Alabama Families of Prisoners Conference (AFPC) in Birmingham, AL. Extended Family for Kids is a curriculum based program specifically for children with an incarcerated family member. Program leaders will learn how to take children through nine solution-based sessions to build self-esteem, ease feelings of shame and isolation, decrease stress, address anger issues, and strengthen communication skills.

Going Home Workshop, March 4, 2013



Going Home is a FREE workshop for returning inmates and their families
  • Learn six key areas of adjustment and tools for dealing with each one.
  • Take home an easy-to-learn communication secret that just might keep your family together! 
  • Have fun while learning what life is like after an inmate comes home from prison, and how you can make the transition easier for everyone. 
Going Home is taught by Laure and Jerry Clemons, who have lived through the prison experience and developed real-life solutions based on their own adjustment period.
